Good stuff
I am very impressed! First, by the site and how quickly everything happened. Second, by how many of you have already shown yourselves here. And third, by the fact that I managed to get this far without any extra help.
I want to thank you all once more for coming to Tampere. I am about to start taking care of all the red tape (your reimbursements) and also the reporting for NordForsk. It will be a pleasure indeed to add the link to this page for the report.
Looking forward to meeting you all in future conferences.

One of my colleagues pointed out that y/our course in Tampere seems to have been extraordinarily successful, because the participants had the empirical material rather than a theoretical approach in common. Everybody seemed interested in understanding something about journalism and in finding fruitful ways of studying it (rather than, let's say, understanding Niklas Luhmann and trying to find useful ways of applying his ideas). It is a good observation, and I thought it might be worth pointing out to NordForsk too. At least it has now been pointed out here.
I agree with Christine. The empirical material made the discussions more concrete and down to earth, which I found quite useful. We don't do much production or news room studies at our department, so it was very interesting for me to listen to all the paper presentations dealing with such topics.
